What are pilot studies?
A
Small scale trial run of investigation to test procedures and make modifications

A
A general expression of what the researcher intends to investigate

What is an operationalised hypothesis?
A
A clearly defined and measurable statement of what the researcher believes to be true

What is a directional hypothesis?
A
States whether changes are positive or negative/greater or lesser (one tailed)

Doesn’t state the direction, just that there is a difference or correlation
