Variable could be scores in a test, height of students, colour of cars passing by etc.

When it shows more ppl getting higher than they would in a normal distribution.

What does it mean if a distribution is negatively skewed?

When the distribution shows more ppl getting lower scores than they would in a normal distribution.

What is a normal distribution?

A symmetrical spread of frequency data that forms a bell shaped pattern.
Mean, median and mode are located at the highest peak.
Most ppl are located at the middle and very few ppl are located at the extreme ends.

What are skewed distributions?

When there is spread of frequency data that is not symmetrical and clusters to one end.
