Purpose:
Log roll (non-segmental) of body in direction of head
Body is moving as ONE unit – maintain head/body alignment

Orients head in space w/ EYES CLOSED

Onset/Integration:
Appears @ 2 M (Persists)

Stimulus:
Hold baby suspended vertically & tilt body off center slowly to ide, forward or backwards (w/ eyes closed)

Purpose:
Upright positioning of head, mediated by vestibular system

Stimulus:
Baby in supine & flex 1 hip + knee towards chest

Purpose:
Segmental rolling with spinal & trunk rotation

Stimulus:
Hold baby, suspended vertically & tilt body of center slowly to side, forwards & backwards

Purpose:
Upright positioning of head, mediated by VISUAL system
