General
*When weather permits, regardless of whether an operation is conducted VFR or IFR, all pilots are responsible for seeing and avoiding other traffic.
In distress
An aircraft in distress has right of way over all other aircraft
Converging traffic
- When aircraft in same category are converging at the same altitude, the aircraft to the others right has right of way.
- balloons, gliders, and airships have right of way over powered aircraft
Approaching head on
Both pilots should alter course to the right.
Overtaking
Each aircraft being overtaken has right of way and the aircraft overtaking the lower should give way to the right.
Landing
Aircraft on final approach to land or while landing have right away of other aircraft in flight of operating on the surface, except they should not take the chance of this rule to force an aircraft off the runway surface that has already landed.
