Can you please tell me about the RoC and an example of how you have adhered to them?

Answer 1

RoC provide a set of rules and behaviours that must be complied with by both members and firms.

They ensure the highest and professional ethical standards across our professional work.

When taking on a new instruction, I confirm that I have the required competence to carry out the task effectively, as per Rule 2.

You mention Rule 2, can you give me another example when you have acted in accordance with the RoC?

As per rule 1, I carry out a conflict of interest check when carrying out new instructions.

As per rule 4, I respect others including during team meetings when I have encouraged others to contribute.

As per rule 3, I provide a good quality service by having my work checked by senior partners.

What are your duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974?

• To ensure the H&S of myself and others around me, so far as is reasonably practicable.
• Comply with employers H&S policy
• Carry out risk assessments
• Undertake training
• Report breaches
