What are the Australian guidelines and focus for sedentary behaviour in children and young people 0-17 years?
Kids under the age of 2 no electronic media time.
2 to 5 less than 1 hour per day.
Up til 5 years shouldn’t be sedentary or restrained for more than an hour at a time.
5 to 17 years no more than 2 hours per day & shouldn’t sit for long periods if possible
For children and young people (5- 12 years and 13-17 years) what is the focus of the PA guidelines?
5 - 17 years - ( at least 60mins of vigorous physical activity per day, at least 3 days per week should try strengthen bones with activities)
