A

The Province gained the right to appoint its own members of the Executive Council, granting an incredible amount of power to the ruling political party.
Only the members of the Legislative Council were appointed by the Governor, though his options were limited to those recommended by the Executive Council.
The Governor was no longer attached to any political party.

Recognition of French as an official language in parliament.
Pardoning the Parti patriotes who initiated the rebellions in 1837-1838.
