-Towards stimulus= positive taxes
-Away=negative taxes

An organism changes the speed of movement and the rate at which it changes direction

-If an organism moves into a harmful stimulus, it increases the rate at which it changes direction to return to favourable conditions
-If surrounded by a negative stimulus, the rate of turning decreases, so it moves in a straight line to increase chances of finding a new location with a favourable stimulus
