Q

what is a reflex

A

Reflex: involuntary
Reflexes dont have to travel up to your brain for interpretation and for this reason they happen quickly. A reflex action involves a simple nervous pathway called a reflex arc. Receptors cells send signals along a sensory nerve to the spinal cord which then passes it along to a motor nerve. A muscle receives the signal and contracts.
