nasopharynx- nasal cavity to soft palate
oropharynx - soft palate to where the mouth opens
laryngopharynx - area that opens to the larynx

uvula - extension of the soft palate, projects into the oropharynx
tonsils - lymphatic tissue that helps protect against inhaled/ingestec bacteria
what is the larynx and what is it made of?
the region of the throat between pharynx and the trachea
