They carry air into your lungs

It is a major muscle of respiration.it is a large dome shaped muscle that contracts rhythmically and continually and most of the time involuntarily
What is the function of the ribs.
To protect the heart and lungs
What is the function of the intercostal muscles?
They play in elevating the ribs and expanding the chest cavity
