Respiratory Disorders Flashcards
Screening pulse oximeter and/or ABG indicated when:
PFT shows:
1. FEV1 < 65%
2. FEV1/FVC Ratio < 65%
3. FVC < 60%
If screening pulse oximeter is < 92% then:
ABG is indicated
Disqualifying ABG
If PaO2 is less than:
65mmHg at altitudes < 5000ft
60mmHg at altitudes > 5000ft
PaCO2 > 45mmHg at any altitude
1st Generation Antihistamine Guidance
