Continuous mandatory ventilation

A

Total support ventilation with set ventilation rate and set tidal volume. Client-initiated breaths receive set volume and if client does not initiate breathe, set rate and volume are guaranteed.

Te airway pressure is maintained above atmospheric at the end of expiration. Stimulates surfactant production, increases functional residual capacity.
