What is CPAP?
A
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure
Opens the airways and improves oxygenation
Used in Type I Respiratory Failure

A
1) Sinus tachycardia

3) Right axis deviation +- RBBB (which are signs of right sided heart strain)

COPD CXR characteristics
A
Hyper inflated chest
Flattening of the diaphragm

Causes of bilateral hilar lymphadenopathy on CXR
A
Infection (TB, Fungal)
Sarcoidosis
Malignancy (Lymphoma, Carcinoma)

PE management
A
Treatment dose LMWH if high probability PE suspected
Wait until diagnosis is confirmed (CTPA)
Start warfarin for a minimum of 3 months (but continue LMWH for some days)
