Resistance To Social Influence Flashcards

1
Q

A

Presence of people who resist pressures to conform can help others to do the same
They act as models to show resistance is possible

Q

What research evidence supports the link between LOC and resistance to obedience

A

Holland related milgrams study and measured wether participants were internals or externals
He found 37% of internals didn’t continue to Higest shock
Only 23% of external didn’t continue
This increases the validity of LOC
