- Factual full-time resident - taxed on worldwide income for the year
- Factual part-year resident - taxed on worldwidei income for the portion of the year they are resident in Canada
- Deemed full-time resident - taxed on worldwide income for the year

- Cdn passport, drivers license, seasonal dwelling (cottage), membership of CPA ontario

Who is considered a deemed resident? (3)
A
- Individual who sojourns in Canada for 183 days or more in the year
- a member of the Cdn armed forces
- an ambassador, minister, high commisisoner, officer, or servant of Canada or a province, if the individual was resident in Canada prior to his or her appointment

A
Somone who becomes a non-resident or at some point in the year becomes a resident in Canada

Date of becoming a non-resident
A
The later of:
- the date the individual leaves Canada
- the date the spouse/children leave Canada
- the date the individual becomes a resident of the new country
