A statement or area of concern to be improved or eliminated,or a troubling question that, exists, that points to the need for meaningful understanding and deliberate investigation
What is the purpose of a research problem?
I. Introduce the reader to the importance of the topic being studied 2. Place the problem into a particular context that defines the parameters of what is to be investigated 3. Provides framework for reporting the results and indicates necessities to conduct the study and explain how the findings will present this information.

Why is the knowledge gap known as the justification for research?
Because if we knew the answers to the questions we’re asking then there is no reason for doing research
