What does a controlled observation mean?
It takes place in a lab setting.
What does overt mean?

Operationalisation.
What is time sampling?
Observations are made within a certain time period.
What is event sampling?
Observations are made every time a certain behaviour is performed.
What are the 5 types of sampling used to pick people for research studies?
- Random- All names in a computer
- Systematic- every nth person
- Stratified- types of people
- Opportunity- who’s around
- Volunteer- self selecting
