What rehoming policies does the Dogs Trust have?
Won’t rehome dogs to an outdoor only environment
No dog will be chained or tethered
Won’t rehome an unvaccinated dog
Won’t rehome a dog to a home with an existing unvaccinated dog
No unneutered dog will be rehomed
Won’t rehome a dog to a person with a criminal history relating to animal welfare
What terms and conditions does the Dogs Trust have when they are rehoming a dog?
Landlord permission before reserving a dog
Aged 18 years or over
Attend a pre-adoption talk
Regular opportunities for the dog to go to the toilet
Puppies to attend a dog school
Dogs not left alone for longer than they can cope
Access to a suitable outside space
Adopter chooses the dog themselves
Understand and agree to any behavioural rehabilitation
