Well-defined requirements
requirements can be divided into:
* Needs- essential requirements that are the functions and features that must be included.
* Wants- desired requirements. Wants are certain functions and features stakeholders want to include, even if they are not essential requirements.
* Expectations- stakeholders’ vision. Expectations involve how stakeholders see the deliverable working and how and when they expect to realize business value.
Change sets
hold changes tested in sandboxes that include only changes made since the previous deployment. Changes can be unrelated to each other.
Whiteboarding
Using a blank physical canvas (or online equivalent) to help track thoughts and ideas during a meeting.
Setup Audit Trail
a tool to track changes.
Kanban
visualize workflow, limit work in progress, incremental and evolutionary change, metrics.
Product backlog
holds things that are work ready or things that will be addressed in the future.
Functional requirements specification (FRS)
business requirements that are defined from an end user or business perspective. It will specify the expected outcomes.
System requirements specification (SRS)
details how the complete system should function and enumerates hardware, software, and functional and behavioral requirements of the system.
Gap analysis document
document describes the gaps between the current processes and the intended processes.
Change request logs
log of all the change requests in the project including date of request, requester, and any other key information.
Wireframes and other visual documentation
contains renderings of the user interface, often in the form of low-fidelity wireframes.
