How does IVF work?
A
Through IVF, the eggs are fertilised by the sperm outside of the mothers womb and whichever egg has the best chance of survival is transferred back into the womb for the remainder of the pregnancy

What is pre-implantation genetic testing used for?
A
It is used to identify any genes that may carry diseases or mutations before the embryo is inserted into the mother. If any undesirable genes do show up they are able to decide to discard the embryo
