- ovaries
- oviducts/fallopian tubes
- uterus
- cervix
- vagina
- external genitalia (vulva)

A
ovarian follicles

what is the vagina?
A
- thick walled muscular tube that extends from cervix to vulva
- where penetration/mating takes place
- becomes swollen when “in heat”

what is the cervix?
A
- muscular valve which separates vagina from uterus
- usually closed, except during oestrus and birth

A
the site of implantation and development

what are uterine horns’ purpose?
A
provide additional space for multiple young to develop

A
- aka a “fallopian tube”
- carry ovum (egg) from ovaries to uterus
