a chemical that is produced in one part of the body that triggers an effect in another part of the body

a hormone that causes increased sexual receptivity in female animals

a process that releases hormones to “turn on” the gonads (ovaries/testes)

A
growth of ovary follicles and production of sperm in the testes

- turns ovarian follicles yellow and ovulate
