Sexual reproduction
Reproduction uses 2 organisms from a species: 1 male and 1 female
Advantages: - less susceptible to disease
Disadvantages: - slow
-you need a male and female

This is where a fetus will develop

Eggs travel along this tube on the way to the uterus

This is a narrow opening between the vagina and uterus

This becomes erect when it fills with blood

Sperm cell
A sperm is small and has a long tail that provides movement so it can swim and find the egg
The head contains special chemicals which allows it to digest into an egg cell and join with it
Egg cell
An egg cell contains yolk which provides a large food store for the new cell being formed
