Give the strengths for Qualitative data
- Gives us a much deeper understanding of a place, attitudes + behaviours
- Much more focused on individual experience
- Understand a range of perceptions + bigger picture
What are the weaknesses for Qualitative data
- Opinion based gives more potential for biasedness
- Harder to make comparisons between data and to present the data
What are the strengths of Quantitative data
- Statistical data = more accurate representation + more reliable
- Allows you to produce graphs, calculate averages and observe trends + easier to compare places
- Collects more data quicker
What are the weaknesses of Quantitative data
- Lacks depth, tells the facts but not individual experiences
- Assumes a fixed and measured reality
