- onlay - placing bone on top of an area
- interpositional - put inbetween 2 thin bones
- sinus lift - floor of sinus llifted up surgically and bone inserted

What is distraction osteogenesis
A
- osteotomy (location and direction) - cutting the bone
- latency - soft callous formation 7-10 days
- distraction (vector, rate and rhythm) - can separate 2 ligaments apart
- 1mm a day - rate
- half 1mm in morning and other half in afternoon
- consolidation - 2-3 months
- remodeling
