A
Women 65+ or with catheter or at risk of complicated UTI - send culture
Or patients with recurrent UTI/ not resolving with treatment/ pregnant

What investigations would you do for a child with a UTI over age of 3
A
Atypical UTI = USS during infection
Recurrent UTIs=
- 6 weeks after infection = USS
- 4-6 month after infection DMSA

What is a DMSA scan?
A
DiMercapto Succinic Acid = nuclear medicine scan assessing renal morphology, structure and function.
