What are the indications for renal biopsy?
A
- Intrinsic/ Renal AKI (exclusion of pre/post renal)
- (but not diabetes + HTN)
- Nephrotic syndrome
- Haematuria and non-nephrotic range proteinuria without signficant rise in creatinine

What are the most common causes of Nephrotic syndrome?
A
Mostt common primary
- Minimal change disease
- FSGS (Focal Segmenttal gloerulosclerosis)
- Memranous GN
Systemic diseases
1. Diabetes
2. Amyloidosis

What does hypercellularity on renal biopsy signify?
A
Usually glomerulanephritis results in hypercellulariy
Depending on location s different ares –> Mesangial cells? (cells bvetween capiliaries)
Endocapillary? Capillary Wall?
Bowmans space?= Crescents
