A
- HBA1c >48mmol
- Random glucose >11.1
- Fasting glucose > 7 mmol (>126 mg)
- OGTT 2 H >11.1 mmol (>200)

What is the first-line management for T2DM?
A
- Diet and exercise
Then Metformin
* if 3 months of diet + Exercise failed
* if HBA1c on diagnsois >58

Which second line drugs are most commonoly offered to be added to Metformin in management of Diabetes
A
- Increase dose of Metformin
And then any of the following according to patient’s choice
- DPP4 inhibitors ( -gliptins)
- Sulphonylureas (Gliclazide)
- Thiazolidinedione (pioglotazone)
- SGLT2 inhibitor (dapagliflozen)
