What are the Stations of The Cross and why do they exist?

A

The stations of the cross are the 14 stations that reflect Jesus’ suffering, crucifixion, death, and ascension into Heaven. They exist to remind us how Jesus suffered and died for our sins.

A

Rituals include actions, gestures or movements. Rituals have a deeper meaning beyond the surface. Routines are NOT rituals because they are not symbolic actions.
Ex- Opening presents on Christmas (ritual)
Ex- Making your bed (routine)
