What did each religion want?
Catholics: The Pope, Latin bible and sermons, elaborate decorations
Protestants: English monarch as head of church, plainly decorated churches, priests could marry.
Puritans: English Bible, Very plain churches, preachers and leaders to be elected.
How did Elizabeth solve the religious problems?
She became supreme governor of the church of England.
Church decoration and singing was allowed.
