1
Q

What is stability reliability? Why is it important?

A

Measure of repeatability/consistency over time. Could be important for example, in longitudinal research.

Q

What is cronbachs alpha?

A

A measure of how closely related a set of items are as a group. It is a function of the number of test items and the average inter-correlation among the items.

Q

As you add items to a scale, are you more likely to increase or decrease alpha?

A

Increase. But there may good theoretical reasons not to include such items, even if they do increase alpha.
