Why should I be secure in myself before entering a romantic relationship?

A

-Some situations it could become dangerous if you have not discovered who you are.
- When you know who you are you become a better, more confident person to be around.
- If you aren’t secure, you might do whatever your boyfriend/girlfriend thinks, likes or dislikes, rather than making your own decisions.
-if you’re secure, you are less likely to behave in ways that you later regret

Q

Independent

A

People in independent relationships do not rely on support from their friends or family. They may be isolated and lonely, or may prefer this. Adolescents commonly choose to have this kind of relationship with their family whilst they seek the company of friends of their own age.
