A
Refraction is the bending of light from one medium to the other.

Light bends towards the normal when it travels into a MORE DENSE medium.

Light bends away from the normal when it travels into a LESS DENSE medium.

A
It causes objects in water to look “distorted” or bent. It also means that they are not where they “appear” to be.
