- The main features of a Catholic church include the lecturn, altar, crucfix and tabernacle
- These help to emphasise the presence of Christ in the church. They also remind Catholics of the redemption that Christ brought them through his suffering, death and resurrection.

- Some churches use an alter for the Mass, as a reminder of Christs sacrafice on the cross, whole other churches use a table, as a reminder of the Last Supper.
- Some Catholics prefer the crucifix as a reminder of christ’s death, while others prefer a cross or Risen christ as a reminder of Chrsit’s resurrection.
