What causes death of RBC? and what does it cause?

loss of enzymes. this causes a loss of shape and flexibility of the cell.

What are RBC destroyed by?
A
Bone marrow, spleen and liver

What components of a RBC are recycled?
A
Proteins, lipids and iron.

What happens to the breakdown products of haemoglobin?
A
Excreted through liver, faeces and urine.
