Rectal lining very delicate, prone to tears Gloved arm, lots of lube Coned hand, go slow When feel a contraction remove hand May need to remove faeces

Kidney bean shaped Anestrous 2-3cm Oestrus 6-10cm Can palpate follicles but not CL Follicles will ovulate around 35mm

Intercornual ligaments
Feel for intercornual ligaments
Dorsal, very friable and can break easily, use this to feel for
Ventral, use to pull uterine horns up into pelvis
