Q

Why is “willing to commute long distances” considered a red flag? What questions should you ask this candidate in order to dig deeper?

A

Why: Potential burnout, desperate, may want to work adjusted hours/work from home, a potential flight risk.
Solution: Look at where the candidate is located/does it make sense? Find out how far they’re commuting now/have they done this commute before? Any responsibilities that this commute would have an impact on? Do they have reliable transportation/how do you plan on getting to work?
