What Should be inspected during respiratory deterioration? (Inspect)
A
- Count respiratory Rate (high or low rate indicate deterioration) High means body is compensating
- Use of Assesory Muscles
- Nasal flaring
- Rate, Rhythm, Depth

What do you palpate for in RD?
A
Temperature and any tenderness

What should you Auscaltate for in RD?
A
Crackles - a sign of infection as fluid
Wheeze - bronchoconstriction
Stridor - obstructions

A
Obstructive - cannot get air out
Restrictive - cannot get air in
