What is a Bronchodialator?

A

Medication used to relax the smooth endothelial muscle within the bronchioles, to widen the airway, increase airflow, and decrease resistance.

A

Beta agonist - relax the airway by stimulating the smooth muscle, therefore opening the airway

A

Anticholinergics - used for COPD

Block the effect of the cholinergic nerves and cause the airway to relax
