England’s population went from 2.8 million to 4 million
shortage of places to live- power to landlords- increased rents (rack renting)

bad harvests 1594 and 1595- this led to food shortages and starvation- increased prices- inflation
enclosure?
landlords kept sheep on the land now instead of growing crops- no one to take care of them (enclosure)- fewer workers were needed
