Everyone has a proper function knowing their place in life. Everyone wants to be happy and good in life and the way to do that is to have an education.

Good government watches out for its people and provides public education to its people.

Reasoned why Alexander should be considered a philosopher king because he had a good philosophy education.
Roman Constitution
Believed in a mixed government combined with democracy, aristocracy and monarchy.

Augustus/Octavious claimed he restored government and the people chose him to rule through votes.

Greek version of the Iliad. Aneas goes to the underworld to find out the future of himself and future ancestors.
Pliny’s Letters
Letters between Pliny and the emperor, Trajan. Pliny traveled to resolve outstanding social and financial issues.
Roman Law
Shows roman conceptions of right and wrong, justice and injustice. Shows their financial laws, issues they thought they had and how it was dealt with. Social stratification, types of ranks, privileges and penalties. Gender norms in society, family structure, labor, protections, compensation, slaves/treatment of slaves and commerce.
Genesis and Exodus
Explains how everything came to be. Also talks about the identity of the Hebrew people, and civic and religious laws and customs. Began with the creation and later added that Yahweh created the entire world alone.

Written by Paul and other Jesus’ followers which gives us insights into the earliest form of christianity.
Jeremiah
One of the prophets which is the teaching of prophets who preached during the Kingdom period who preached morality and absolute monarchy. The teaching of the prophets would share the composition of the texts during the exile period
