It contains the account of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus and the early history and faith of those who follow Jesus, who we now call Christians.
Black and British - Who was Olive Morris?
She was the first black British bishop of Dover? She led the prayers for Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding. She was born on June 26th 1952.
What did Olive Morris do?
Olive Morris was one of the founders of the organisation for women of Asian and African descent and the Brixton black women’s group.
She campaigned for racial equality, gender equality and squatters rights.

She was a British a labour party politician who has served as a member of parliament for Hackney.

Revelation is the way in which God is made known to humans which Catholics believe is most perfectly done through Jesus.
What is stewardship?
The duty to care for something, Catholics believe that god gave them the duty to care for the earth and everything in it.
What is prayer?
The way in humans communicate with god
What do Catholics believe?
They believe that god created all life and everything that is created comes from god alone.
What does Covenant mean?
literally a contract between god and his people in which god makes promises to his people and usually requires certain conduct from them. In the old testament - god made agreements with Noah, Abraham and Moses.
How do humans know about god?

What is reason
Reason is our ability to think things through and weigh things up. We can
think about big questions and conclude that the answers are in god. For example how the universe began.
What is divine revelations?
By reading the world of god and understanding church teachings this is called divine revelations e.g. the belief that Jesus Christ is god becomes man can only be known through the bible.
Why do they call it the word of god?
They call it the word of god because this is how god spoke to them.
