GND CTL Auto Funtion, what is on and when?

CVR & DFDR are on when:

• Ground - 5 mins after electrical power-up
• Ground - with one engine running
• In Flight

CVR & DFDR are powered down:

• 5 mins after last engine shutdown

GND CTL P/B switch Blue ON light. What does this do and why do we use it?

• CVR & DFDR energized manually
• Virgin Procedure

Question 3

RCDR CVR Erase pressed for 2 seconds?

Answer 3

Completely erases CVR tape if:

• Aircraft is on the ground, and
• Parking Brake is ON

Question 4

CVR Test button. What does this do and what will happen?

Answer 4

• Activates test if CVR is On AND Parking Brake is set
• You will hear a tone through the loud speakers
