What were the stages of creation of humans in Genesis 2?

A

Man was made from dust on the ground which God breathed life into through his nostrils. Women was then created by taking a rib of Adam.

What is the nature of Creation as shown in Michelangelo’s “Creation of Adam”?

A

Michelangelo ctreated a painting which is now in the sistine chapel. This shows his perspective on how Adam was created. One major floor is God not breathing into Adam’s nostrils, but just touching his finger.

A

God being transcendent is the belief that God is beyond and outside the life of earth. A quality of God, for something to happen it only takes his word.

A

This is how God is seen as being all powerful, God has the power to make whatever he wants to happen happen, for example the creation story.

God is omniscient because he is all knowing. For example, God is a judge and is all knowing of what everyone as done, when chosing between heaven and hell.

A

These show the qualities of God such as omni-potent as he created the universe and omni-scient as he knows all about the universe.

A

All other animals are created together but humans are created seperately, which refers to the sanctity of life and shows us how all life incredibly precious but also holy. Humans were also given free will by God where we can make our own choices between right and wrong.

A

When we see that God spent time to create human individually to other animals and breathed life into Adam. Adam was also given the choice to name all the animals. This shows us how important humans life is and how every life is precious and holy.

A

We believe that everything God created is ‘Good’ and created in the image of God. As humans were created in the image of God that means we all have equal human dignity.

A

Whether or not you take the creation story literally (6 days or 6 parts) we all can agree God put lots of effort into our world. Because of this it’s our job on earth to care for the world and then also protect it, before passing it on to the next generation to do the same.

A

As God created all humans in the eye of God and equally (women was created out of man showing we’re the same), CAFOD works to give everyone a better quality of life for humams as well as animals, as they were also created by and in the image of God during the creation story.

A

When we see the work which God went to in order to create our universe we see how we must only use recources at a rate which they can be replaced so that the world is balanced for all humans and living creatures for all are equal.

A

Natural Law is the moral principles and values which all humans should act upon. These include: preserving life, reproduction, education of offspring, living as a society and studying and praying to God as the 5 precepts (primary rules) to natural law.

A

Many scientists are also catholics and we believe that ‘if methodical investigations are carried out in a genuinely scienfitic matter, it never truly conflicts with faith’. Religion explains the ‘why’ and science explains the ‘how’.

How is the Bible divided and what can be found in it?

A

The Bible is divided into two testaments, the old and new. The old testaments shows how God related to Jews in history and the New testament is about Jesus and his teachings. In total there’s 73 books, 46 OT books (Torah, History, Wisdom and Prophets) and 27 NT books (Gospels, Acts of the Apostles, Epistles and Book of Revelation).
