Inter-response Time
The amount of time that elapses between two consecutive instances of a behavior
Discontinuous Measurement
Dividing a measurement into intervals and recording.
Whole Interval Recording
Recording whether or not a behavior occurred throughout an entire interval.
Partial Interval Recording
Recording if a behavior occurred at any point in an interval.
Momentary time sampling
Recording if a behavior occurred at a given time point.
Permanent Product Recording
Recording data via left over physical items. Example: Worksheets

Probing
Measuring a client’s ability to perform a skill.
Reinforcement
Consequences that strengthen behavior.

Administering reinforcement after every time the behavior happens.
SD - Discriminative Stimulus
A stimulus used to evoke a specific behavior. Ex: “Touch your nose.”
Prompt Dependency
When the client relies on the prompt or for the teacher to finish the task for them.
Shaping
Reinforcing smaller parts overall to achieve a larger behavior.
