what conditions is it used for
PREVENTION and TREATMENT of peptic ulcers PPI are preferred however.
GORD and Dyspepsia to RELIEVE SYMPTOMS - PPI preferred in more severe cases
side effects

main ones include GI disturbances (diarrhoea), headache, dizziness

contraindications
renal impairment - reduced dose
as excreted by the kidneys
can disguise some symptoms of gastric cancer

look out for red flags of GI cancer- such as weight loss etc
