Why would you do a y view radiograph?
To check for dislocation
How is the patient standing in the Y view?
Patient has their hand on the back of their hip.
What would see on an AP radiograph of an anterior dislocation?
The humeral head lies under the CP.
What is a Bankart lesion?
Fracture from the glenoid which happens during anterior dislocation of the shoulder.
What is a Hill-Sachs lesions?
Compression of the posters lateral aspect of the humeral head.
What is a Galeazzi fracture?
Fracture of the shaft of the radius with dislocation of the distal radio ulnar joint.
What is a Monteggia fracture?
Fracture of the proximal third of the ulna with dislocation of the head of the radius.
What is a Colles fracture?
Fracture of the distal part of the radius with dorsal and radial deviation of the hand.
