Q

What is the ozone layer?

A

I layer of ozone at the top of the atmosphere absorbs ultraviolet radiation from the sun. This protects living things on earth from some harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation. Is the ozone layer thins by 1% the risk of skin cancer increases by 4%. The ozone layer does however have some holes within it.
