- whites more likely to commit other crimes (hate crimes 60%, and white-collar crimes)
- Asians least likely to go to prison. They make up 5% of general pop, but only 3% of prison pop.

Why do many EMs find themselves with a low income/ unemployed?
-many stuck in the ‘poverty cycle’. They live in a area which prevents them for getting a quality education, high paying job, encouraging peer group, ect.

- EMs tend to be poorer so cannot afford health care or health insurance
- 34% of Hispanics are uninsured

It has more to do with income and affordability.
